Harlem Haberdashery, a leading fashion boutique with a Harlem Renaissance influence, has partnered with Vontelle Eyewear to launch a limited, premium collection of eyewear.
The collaboration between the two Black women-owned brands is made possible through the Chase for Business minority entrepreneurship program. Through this initiative, entrepreneurs work with certified Chase senior business consultants to access capital, education, and resources to grow and sustain their businesses.
“Our minority entrepreneurship program was designed to help diverse entrepreneurs and business owners start, grow and scale their businesses through individualized coaching and access to networking opportunities that foster win-win partnerships with like-minded businesses,” said Joy Butts, vice president, Senior Business Consultant, JPMorgan Chase. “This collaboration between Vontelle Eyewear and Harlem Haberdashery brings together the style, uniqueness, and creativity of two innovative brands and we’re looking forward to watching them grow together.”
In 2022, Harlem Haberdashery President and CEO Sharene Wood connected with Vontélle Eyewear’s co-founders Tracy Vontélle Green and Nancey Flowers-Harris at a small business series hosted by Chase for Business. Together, they ideated the eyewear collection inspired by Harlem’s past, present, and future culture and style.
“Vontélle is honored to collaborate with Harlem’s first family of fashion as Sharene and Guy Wood, Sr. have 30 years in the business. We are happy to marry our pattern and textile designs with their keen sense of style and culture. This limited-edition collection will fly off the shelves,” said Tracy Green.

Vontélle Eyewear
Vontélle is a Black women-owned, designed, and operated luxury eyewear company providing bespoke textiles & prints from the African Diaspora on optical frames and sunglasses. We offer sizes that compliment diverse faces, fulfill prescriptions, and custom lens colors/tints including blue light blocker lenses. Size Matters! For centuries, many of us have been wearing ill-fitting glasses. From our research and personal experiences many optical wearers have endured the painful line across our noses, indentation on the cheeks, and headaches. Thus, Vontélle created comfortable fitting eyewear with wider bridges for your nose, longer temples for behind the ears, and larger lenses for high cheekbones; plus, we added luxurious materials, colors, and patterns.
Vontélle is the first (1st) Black Women Owned Eyewear company to obtain a 3-year licensing agreement with Nickelodeon Paramount to create a children’s collection – SpongeBob, Rugrats and Baby Shark are available now.
