The Offices of the New York State Inspector General (“OIG”) today published 29 previously non-public letters arising from investigations undertaken by the agency in 2014.
These letters, which are sent to public officials and agencies regarding allegations of misconduct or wrongdoing, provide information on the ultimate investigative findings by the Inspector General.
Today’s documents constitute the remainder of such investigative letters issued in 2014 and continues the Inspector General’s commitment to provide all such historical letters, which can be found on the agency’s website at http://ig.ny.gov.
Inspector General Lang said: “Ensuring New Yorkers’ faith in their government is among the most critical responsibilities of every state agency and employee. By continuing to publish these historical letters, we hope to both educate the public about our work and to send a message that the Inspector General’s office is watching and will continue to utilize all resources available to eliminate fraud, waste and abuse wherever it occurs.”
