Seitu’s World: It Was Film, Art, Talk, And A Birthday Celebration At ImageNation In Harlem

September 20, 2022

On Saturday, September 17th, 2022, Seitu Oronde was at the Film, Art, Talk, And A Birthday Celebration at ImageNation in Harlem, NY.

The event flip the script a bit and planned the events outside where the film, art, talk, and birthday celebrations could be experienced by all, and even a drive-by right on 125th Street – doesn’t get better than that.

For those of you who were not able to attend, the events included a WAX PRINT discussion with curator and moderator Harlem Needle Arts founder Michelle Bishop, featuring Moctar Yara, Owner, Yara African Fabrics, Oluwaseyi Awoyomi textile artist and protege of Chief Nike Okundaye and the late Twins Seven Seven.

Here are images from the event by Harlem photographer Seitu Oronde:

As usual owners and founder Moikgantsi Kgama (Founder & Executive Director) and Gregory Gates (Executive Producer), ImageNation pictured in the photograph above pulled another great event. The icing on the cake was the celebration of the birthday of ImageNation founder Mrs. Kgama.
