DETAILS: Join us to experience the healing benefits of tai chi. It’s easy on the joints, helps reduce stress and can improve flexibility and balance. DETAILS: EmblemHealth and the Harlem Yoga Studio invite you to join us for an introductory yoga class that is perfect for beginners and experienced yogis alike. Each session will include:

·         Brief centering and meditation

·         Breathing practices (pranayama)

·         Basic yoga poses

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Try not to eat a heavy meal within two hours of class, but a light snack at least 30 minutes before is ideal. Plan to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and relax. WHAT: Harlem Stroke Foundation Support Group

DETAILS: The Harlem Stroke Foundation survivors support group will be holding monthly meetings at EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care in Harlem. Speakers at the meeting will include physical and occupational therapists, doctors and other health care professionals. All in attendance will be there to share their experiences and those of loved ones after a stroke. Participants will also hear about some of the best places to receive therapy.
