On February 14, 2022, The Salvation Army is installing giant Valentine’s Day gifts (almost 10 feet high) in cities across America.
In New York, the box will be located at Rockefeller Center.
Since it’s Valentine’s Day, they might be asked to guess what’s inside: chocolates or balloons or roses.
But when they walk in, they’ll be immersed in stories of love.
Valentine’s Day isn’t a holiday when you’d typically think of The Salvation Army – most people think about them during Christmas with red kettles and bellringers.
But they don’t realize that funds raised have an impact far beyond the holidays.
Those gifts help provide love and support to those who are lost, hungry, or hurting.
Don’t forget to visit the Salvation Army’s in Harlem:
- The Salvation Army Harlem Temple Corps Community Center, 540 Lenox Ave · (212) 862-3900
- The Salvation Army Manhattan Citadel Corps Community Center, 175 E 125th St · (212) 860-3200
The hope is and raises awareness of a human need that exists year-round.
Remember to show love all year around.
