Free: Screening Of Robert Reich’s “Inequality For All” In Harlem

Robert Reich’sAs part of its newly established economic justice initiative Now is the Time: Justice for All and a nationwide grassroots campaign, The Riverside Church is presenting a screening of former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich’s Sundance award-winning documentary, “Inequality for All,” on Thursday, February 27, 7:00 p.m. at the Church, 91 Claremont Ave., (bet. 120th & 122nd Sts.), Morningside Heights.
Narrated by Reich, the documentary addresses the severe income inequality plaguing our country and what can be done about it. The event coincides with hundreds of similar “watch parties” taking place around the country on February 27.  Following the screening of the film, Riverside’s Now is the Time: Justice for All steering committee will speak with attendees about initial plans for its economic justice initiative and seek suggestions from the audience.

The Riverside Church (www.theriversidechurchny.org) is an interdenominational and international church built by John D. Rockefeller Jr. in 1927.  The 1,600-member Riverside Church in Morningside Heights has a rich tradition of providing a forum for important civic and spiritual leaders. Past speakers include: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., President William J. Clinton, the Dalai Lama, Fidel Castro, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela.
