The #IAMTHEVOTE Launch In Harlem – It’s Our Duty!

This Wednesday, August 26th, 2020, Harlem is the home for the launch of #IAMTHEVOTE, an outdoor registration drive, and an information session. The educational platform geared to encouraging previously non-voting participants to become well informed and become actively engaged in the voting process will be held from 2 pm – 6 pm, outside of 333 Malcolm X Blvd. between 126th and 127th Streets in Harlem with the appropriate social distancing measures and “mask required”.

Spearheading this initiative is HIV/Health and Community Activist, Maria A. Davis and LAUNCHpAD Worldwide Chief Executive Officer, Rob Love. Ms. Davis is a music industry insider Maria Davis diagnosed with HIV in 1995. Since her diagnosis, Maria has become a devoted community advocate leveraging her position in the entertainment industry to educate the community about HIV and other health and community concerns.

“This is a collaborative effort to rally people around the nation to vote! Our goal is to inform the masses that every single vote counts as well as encourage people to fill out the census!”. Rob Love is the Chief Executive Officer of LAUNCHpAD WorldWide, a boutique agency that develops organic strategies and solutions for brands, talent, and start-up entities to alert, inform and engage consumer reaction across multiple platforms.

On-site will be representatives from the Census Bureau to answer questions about the Census and from the Board of Elections to register people to vote. Event speakers include Theresa E. Hassler – Principal, The Hassler Advantage, Inc., Assemblyman Al Taylor – 71st Assembly District of Upper Manhattan, Cordell Cleare – District Leader 70th AD/Harlem and Lawrence Ben Miles – Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

There will be special guests, a revealing of a signature piece from artist Jason Wallace from Jason Wallace Studios and also giveaways for those present and who register to vote. Mr. Love added to Ms. Davis comments, “ This is more than just a vote. It’s our right. It’s our life, our future and it’s our duty!
