It’s a free screening for Harlem World Magazine readers for the movie POMPEII in 3D on Monday, February 6th, 2014 at 7 pm at Magic Johnson Theater in Harlem. Set in 79 A.D., POMPEII tells the epic story of Milo (Kit Harington), a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia (Emily Browning), the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.
With a great cast, like the hunk Kit Harington (TV’s Game of Thrones), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix Series), Emily Browning (Sucker Punch, Lemony Snicket’s Series Of Unfortunate Events), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Thor: The Dark World, GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Jessica Lucas (Evil Dead), with Jared Harris (TV’s Mad Men and Mortal Instruments) and Kiefer Sutherland (TV’s 24). It is directed by Paul WS Anderson (Resident Evil series).
