Beautify this historic and scenic park playground by weeding, planting, and removing invasive species from the Broadway side of the park.
Plant native plants, remove invasive plants and clean up one of the city’s oldest green spaces to enrich the diverse habitat of northern Manhattan’s only native forest.
Inwood Hill Park is comprised of 196 acres of natural forest at the north end of Manhattan Island. Home of the last natural forest and salt marsh in Manhattan, this park is home to a variety of wildlife such as turtles, migrating water-birds, and at least one muskrat. People can also enjoy a variety of recreational activities such as soccer, tennis, and basketball.
Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes and long pants.
