VoteRunLead, the nation’s largest and most diverse candidate training program, announces the #RunAsYouAre2019: National Training on Saturday, May 18th. The National Training will span 20+ cities and comes on the heels of a historic era of women in politics with more women running for (and winning) office than ever. VoteRunLead has trained over 30,000 women to run for office, with a goal to train 20,000 more by 2020, and is uniquely positioned to train women to run as their authentic selves. The #RunAsYouAre2019: National Training will be the largest multi-city single day training ever provided by a national training organization.
The #RunAsYouAre2019: National Training will be executed as a one-day program, online and in-person, with community-based follow-up. “We knew long before the 2018 elections that women are more than ready to run for office as their unapologetic selves, which is why we have been creating a pipeline of women candidates, staff, supporters, donors, and activists outside of the traditional party structure,”
“We knew long before the 2018 elections that women are more than ready to run for office as their unapologetic selves, which is why we have been creating a pipeline of women candidates, staff, supporters, donors, and activists outside of the traditional party structure,” says Erin Vilardi, the Founder & CEO of VoteRunLead. “There are 519,632 elected positions across the US and we need to train women to run for each of these offices with real resources to continue the momentum we have seen in 2016 and 2018. Women are more active in politics than ever before and as a nonpartisan political training organization, we are able to access more women to create a diversity of thought in national politics.”
“In the last two years, we have watched women march, celebrate, and vote in unprecedented numbers – the next step is to train more women to run for office,”
