Town Hall Meeting On Affordable Housing And Job Opportunities In Harlem

Join the Baptist Ministers Conference of Greater New York & Vicinity for a Town Hall Meeting on affordable housing and job opportunities on Thursday, March 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 201 Malcolm X Boulevard (at West 120th Street).

Held in association with New York Interfaith Commission for Housing Equality, Micah Institute, Masjid Malcolm Shabazz, Faith of New York and Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, this meeting is an opportunity for community residents to hear from their elected officials. Expected to attend are Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer, City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer, Assemblyman Al Taylor, New York City Public Advocate Letisha James, and representatives from the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and Harlem Community Development Corporation (HCDC).

According to Rev. Dr. Charles Curtis, President of the Conference, “The need for affordable housing and jobs are the most pressing problems facing our communities today. We chose to hold the Town Hall Meeting to give community residents an opportunity to come out, be heard and hear from their elected and appointed officials.”
