Hey Harlem, Patch just reported that around 500 New York City flights have already been canceled as the city braces for its second major storm in a week to hit on Wednesday.
LaGuardia, John F. Kennedy and Newark Liberty International airports each reported that hundreds of Wednesday’s flights have already been canceled because of the nor’easter, which forecasters expect to blanket the city in up to 10 inches of snow.
A winter storm warning will be in effect from 10 p.m. on Tuesday until 4 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8th, 2018, but flight cancelations began rolling in before the snow even started falling.
JFK announced on Tuesday evening that around 200 of the airport’s Wednesday flights had been canceled because of the nor’easter. Around 100 flights were canceled at LaGuardia because of the storm, and another 150 at Newark in New Jersey.
The airports advised flyers to check with their airlines before heading out into the blizzard on Wednesday.
