The folks at Harlem Stage just posted this piece to all of their friends, key supporters, sponsors and benefit committee members for making the Harlem Stage Winter Benefit a success!
Jazz icon DeeDee Bridgewater, singing sensation Wé McDonald and piano prodigy Matthew Whitaker Jr. treated attendees to a spectacular evening celebrating the works of The First Lady of Song, Ella Fitzgerald. After the concert, guests mingled at Gavin Brown Enterprise for an exclusive after party.
The evening was a benefit to raise funds to help Harlem Stage continue to support and present the works of visionary artists of color and serve over 1,000 New York City schoolchildren through the Frances Davis/Harlem Stage Arts Education Program.
