Police are searching for an elderly Harlem man who was reported missing Thursday.
Manuel Cando, 79, was last seen at his Harlem residence on West 140th Street near Frederick Douglass Boulevard, police told Patch. Cando was reported missing Thursday at 8:05 a.m., police said.
Police described Cando (pictured above) as standing 5-foot-2 and weighing about 160 pounds. Cando has brown eyes, grey hair and speaks only Spanish, police told Patch. When he went missing Cando was wearing a black baseball cap with the number 80 stitched across the front, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) for Spanish. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577. All tips are confidential.
