With cancer a major issue in Harlem, these exciting and dynamic seminars sent to us from the MSKCC/CCNY Partnership for Cancer Research, Training and Community Outreach will feature talks by physicians and healthcare providers that treat patients with cancer. The experts will share information and answer your questions on cancer screening and prevention along with giving you tips on how to begin making a plan towards living a healthier life. Additional information will be provided on cancer support services and cancer clinical trials.
These events are FREE to the public – please share this information with your friends, family members, and other community members. The seminars and materials will be offered in English and Spanish.
Here is a breakdown of the two upcoming Minority Cancer Awareness Week events:
1) “Empowering People with Disabilities to Access Cancer Care” on Tuesday, 4/15/14 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention (1919 Madison Avenue, entrance on 124th Street)
