Patch reports that the NYPD is hunting a man who fired into a group of people on a Harlem street corner, police said.
Two people were shot Saturday afternoon on the corner of West 139th Street and Lenox Avenue, an NYPD spokesman told Patch. A gunman opened fire on the street shortly before 1 p.m., striking the victims and casing other people to flee the area, police said.
A 43 year-old man was shot in the stomach and was transported to the hospital, police told Patch. A 25-year-old man was shot in the arm and was able to walk himself to the hospital, police said. Both men are expected to survive their injuries, police told Patch.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing and police did not have a description of a suspect, who remains on the loose, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
